Jhep continues its efforts to partner with Vigyan Ashram and Lend-A-Hand-India to assist schools with the implementation of the IBT and MSF programs. These programs include a comprehensive skill development program curriculum that is designed for 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students. As long as schools can raise/commit the required funds for the initial capital expenditure and for the monthly recurring expenses, these programs can be successfully implemented for the benefit of students.
Jhep met with multiple schools in Pune and Ahmednagar Districts that expressed interest in implementing this program. The biggest impediment in implementing this program seems to be the lack of sustained funding sources.
Jhep will continue to work with the interested schools to identify public and private funding sources and to help schools with developing and implementing the IBT and MSF programs in phases.
